LATEST PROJECT: Living Eyes - part 2
A fun hopping frog I animated in Flash to illustrate the concept of personality balls.
What’s a personality ball? The simplest explanation is that it’s the application of squash and stretch to a character.
Hmmm. It may be time for another tutorial.
I was hired to create some graphics in Flash for a series of kids’ games. The animation is preliminary. A test of the timing.
Snowball Fight was one of our most popular games. Originally it was an online game, but later versions appeared on Verizon cell-phones.
I wanted to show some other examples of my pixel art. This is from a game called, Enviroboarder. The goal was to collect recyclables without hitting anything.
The boarder character is modeled after a room-mate I had in college. I think he’s the kind of guy who would appreciate being a character in a game.
Improved versions of game art I did a few years back. I’m hoping it will show up in the Iphone version of the game.
I pulled out Macromedia Director to do the pixel art. I didn’t realize how much I missed working in Director. I used to work in it every day before Flash came [...]
I’ve been seeing a few really nice pixel games on the iPhone. It’s gotten me thinking about a tutorial about how to draw and animate pixel characters.
Here’s a preview of the first lesson.
I should have added this to yesterday’s post. Here are some of the smoke effects I animated for the Airbender project.
